Build the route your network actually needs
Quad State Internet designs, builds, lights, and supports custom connectivity anywhere in the United States for carriers, large enterprises, campuses, high-capacity facilities, and operators that need control over their own private backbone. We can build or coordinate the path to the interconnection point that matters, then support the backbone so you operate with ISP-like control without carrying the whole operational burden yourself.
When the right route does not exist, we can build it
Some networks cannot be solved with an off-the-shelf circuit. You may need a specific physical route, a long-term fiber position, a private optical path, carrier diversity, or a way to reach an interconnection point without handing the architecture to a third party. Quad State Internet builds those routes by demand, then turns them into usable infrastructure through IRUs, dark fiber, wavelengths, Ethernet transport, or managed private networking.
IRU Structures
Long-term indefeasible rights of use for fiber pairs, laterals, route segments, or lit capacity where ownership-level control matters.
Private Backbone
Design, delivery, monitoring, and support for organizations that want ISP-like backbone control across markets without operating every layer alone.
Facility Interconnect
High-capacity private paths between colocation footprints, headquarters, campuses, cloud on-ramps, IX ports, carrier meet points, and operational sites.
Reach the interconnection point you actually need
The useful network path is often not the nearest circuit. It is the route that reaches the right exchange, carrier meet point, cloud on-ramp, long-haul provider, peering fabric, or private handoff. Quad State Internet can build or coordinate custom paths across the United States to get your network to those points, then keep supporting the route after turn-up.
Interconnection Point Access
Private access into IX ports, carrier meet points, cloud on-ramps, colocation footprints, and transport hubs.
ISP-Like Control
Use your own ASN, BGP policy, handoff model, carrier mix, and route strategy while Quad State Internet builds and supports the backbone.
National Build Models
Custom construction, Type II access, IRUs, wavelengths, dark fiber, and managed transport can be blended into one usable path.
Sometimes you just need the right enterprise circuit
Use this page even if you do not know whether the answer is construction, DCI, DIA, IP Transit, Type II access, BGP, or a carrier cross-connect. We will sort the request into the right path.
DIA
Dedicated Internet Access for enterprise sites that need predictable bandwidth, static IPs, routing support, and clear upgrade paths.
IP Transit and BGP
Transit, customer BGP sessions, ASN support, route filters, and carrier-grade Internet handoffs from Quad State Internet.
Type II / Off-Net
Carrier-partner circuits for customer sites outside our direct footprint, delivered through one managed relationship.
DCI / Facility Interconnect
Private paths between colocation footprints, IX ports, carrier meet points, cloud on-ramps, and enterprise facilities.
Carrier Handoff
NNIs, cross-connects, third-party turn-ups, BGP coordination, and handoffs to or from other networks.
Private Transport
Ethernet, wavelengths, dark fiber, managed private WAN, and route-diverse transport for critical traffic.
Commercial models that match the job
Build-by-demand projects can be structured around a dedicated construction contribution, monthly service, long-term IRU, or a blended model. We can consult on the route, build the infrastructure, and IRU it back to you when that is the right commercial structure. The right model depends on route length, make-ready, permitting, electronics, service term, interconnection target, and whether the customer needs dark fiber, lit capacity, DIA, BGP, IP Transit, Type II access, DCI, or managed transport.
Dark fiber IRU: dedicated strands or route segments with a long-term right of use.
Lit capacity IRU: committed bandwidth on a private optical path without operating the glass yourself.
Managed transport: Ethernet, wavelength, or private IP service with Quad State Internet operating the network layer.
Hybrid build: customer-funded construction paired with ongoing operations, monitoring, and maintenance.
What we build
The goal is not just fiber in the ground. The goal is a route that fits the network design, service model, resilience target, and commercial reality.
Metro and Regional Laterals
Custom routes from customer sites to Quad State Internet hubs, carrier meet points, IX ports, and regional or national transport corridors.
Carrier Diversity
Physically diverse paths, alternate entrances, and route separation for organizations that cannot depend on one provider path.
100G and 400G Paths
High-capacity handoffs for AI, cloud, content, research, healthcare, public sector, manufacturing, and backbone traffic.
Private WAN
Layer 2, Layer 3, and optical services for enterprises connecting offices, campuses, production sites, and critical systems.
Build Your Own Backbone
Route planning, infrastructure delivery, monitoring, and support for operators that want their own network spine instead of isolated circuits.
Cloud Exit Paths
Private connectivity for organizations pulling workloads back into owned or colocated infrastructure while preserving scale.
How a build-by-demand project works
Every project starts with endpoints and capacity, but the real work is proving the route, commercial model, and operational handoff before construction starts.
Scope endpoints
We confirm addresses, meet points, bandwidth, handoff type, diversity requirements, and service term.
Design the route
We review existing plant, pole or conduit options, make-ready, permitting, construction risk, and expansion value.
Set the model
We align on IRU, monthly service, construction contribution, maintenance, demarcation, and operational responsibility.
Build and turn up
We construct, splice, test, light, document, monitor, and support the service through our operations team.
Facility interconnect without generic carrier compromises
For high-capacity operators, the hard part is not ordering bandwidth. It is getting the right path, in the right place, with the right resiliency and the right commercial structure. Quad State Internet can build private interconnects between the places your infrastructure actually lives and the interconnection points where the rest of your network needs to meet.

Discuss a build
Send the preliminary route and business requirements. This gives our team enough context to decide whether the project is DIA, IP Transit, BGP, Type II access, DCI, dark fiber IRU, lit capacity IRU, managed transport, construction-backed build, or a blended model. If a route needs to be built, Quad State Internet can consult on the plan, build the infrastructure anywhere in the United States, support the backbone, and IRU it back to you.
