Hurricane Electric is headquartered in Fremont CA

Hurricane Electric is now live in Paducah, Kentucky! Hosted by Quad State Internet at 1212 Helen Street, Paducah, KY, carriers, ISPs, and other enterprises can for the first time directly connect to Hurricane Electric in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Hurricane Electric is headquartered in Fremont, CA, and operates 300 points of presence accross the globe. This is the first POP in Kentucky, and with this interconnection, networks in Kentucky can now interconnect to over 300 global destinations on the Hurricane Electric network.

Quad State Internet runs a regional fiber-optic backbone, and operates with an emphasis on interconnection. That's why Quad State Internet works with IP backbone providers like Hurricane Electric to make on-ramping to the global Internet as easy as possible.

For other carriers wanting to interconnect with Hurricane Electric, they can do so through Zero U colocation, meaning that they can start by ordering a cross connect between their own fiber network, a partner transport network, or through dark fiber.

The emphasis for interconnection makes this easy, as Quad State Internet has preallocated bandwidth available from multiple transport networks into our facility, so even if your network does not intersect with ours, we are able to work with other transport networks to connect your network into Quad State Internet's colocation facilities.

We are working to expand our colocation footprint, with plans for a new data center underway, and are also working with other colocation providers on getting high capacity fiber into those buildings as well, making connectivity expansive and diverse.

The preallocated transport capacity also means fast turn up times, and very competitive pricing. Some services can be turned up in as little as one day.

We're very excited for what this means for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where ISPs have traditionally had to interconnect out of state to reach networks like Hurricane Electric. With the growth of the Paducah Internet Exchange, we are working to make Metropolis and Paducah the epicenter of connectivity in the Central US.

ISPs, datacenters, enterprise networks, and other entities wanting to interconnect with these other networks can contact Quad State Internet today.
