Quad State Internet Expands "Connectivity for Hope" to Support Metropolis Residents as Digital Equity Act Funding Ends
Posted May 9, 2025 by Preston Louis Ursini

As the federal Digital Equity Act funding winds down, critical programs like the Illinois Digital Equity Capacity (IDEC) Grant are coming to an end. These initiatives have provided essential Internet access, devices, and digital skills training to communities in need, greatly benefiting residents of Metropolis, IL, and surrounding areas.
Recognizing the urgent need to continue supporting community connectivity, Quad State Internet is expanding its privately funded "Connectivity for Hope" initiative. This local effort is dedicated to ensuring no household is left disconnected due to the conclusion of federally supported programs.
Through the expanded Connectivity for Hope initiative, Quad State Internet is providing free router rentals to all new accounts in Metropolis. This offer helps remove financial barriers to high-quality Internet access, ensuring continuous connectivity for essential daily activities such as remote learning, telehealth, and employment opportunities.
Quad State Internet's high-speed fiber service provides reliable connectivity with no data caps, complete home Wi-Fi coverage, and dedicated local support based in the Metropolis and Paducah region.
Residents of Metropolis affected by the conclusion of IDEC or looking for stable, affordable Internet service can immediately benefit from this initiative. To learn more or sign up, please visit QuadStateInternet.net or call 833-701-QUAD.
Together, we can ensure every home in Metropolis remains connected.
